Triumph Set To Move Into India

Triumph Motorcycles have announced that they are set to launch 7 new models into the Indian motorbike market. All of the new models will be showcased at the upcoming Auto Expo which is being held in New Delhi in January.

Many car manufacturers are announcing plans to launch new models into India in 2012 as they see it as a major market, so it seems as though motorbike manufacturers are following the same plan and are looking to make the most of this opportunity.

Triumph have stated that they thought long and hard over which models they would launch into the market, but have decided on an array of models which cater for a variety of different needs.

Some of the models which they are planning to launch include the 675cc Super Sport bike, the Daytone 675 and the Rocket III.

They see the Indian market as a good location as it offers great potential. They expect all of the models that they will release to become a success in very little time.

The first part of their plan to crack India will see the motorbike manufacturer open a CKD assembly facility which means that they will be able to pass on duty savings to the customer.

Triumph will be launching a parallel trin Bonneville, then a sports bike, called the Speed Triple, a Tiger 800XC, a Daytona 675, a Triumph Storm and then finally a Rocket III. Each of these bikes will be showcased at the upcoming Auto show in January 2012.

The majority of these models are already available from UK Motorbike Dealers, so visit your local dealer if you want to take a closer look!
