I am noticing recently that the number of Nissan cars on the road is ever increasing. First it was the Nissan Qashqai that I was seeing around every corner, and now it seems to be the Nissan Juke that everyone is rushing out to buy. It was recently announced that, in fact, Nissan was the UK?s top car maker in 2011. At the Nissan factory in Sunderland, 480,485 Nissan cars were built in 2011, which is a 13.5% increase on 2010 figures.
In the UK, the Nissan Qashqai, Note and Juke are produced. These are all medium sized family cars so it goes to show what the UK market considers important in a car. Production of the Qashqai has been around the clock for the last year at the Sunderland factory in order to keep up with demand. An average of 1,200 Qashqai?s are built there every day, this is the highest production of any vehicle in the UK.
The Nissan Qashqai is a great family car. It has plentiful head and legroom and a high driving position. It seats five people comfortably and holds up to 660 litres with the rear seats folded. Both the Qashqai and the Juke provide an alternative to a hatchback and a 4x4 and are an excellent mix of the two. The Juke is a really individual car with unique styling yet also provides excellent practicality. It has an excellent range of equipment and even the entry level model comes with 16 inch alloys, ESP, Sports seats, air conditioning and six airbags. If you?re looking for a new or used Nissan Kent, either one of these great cars is bound to suit your needs.
