I left school at age sixteen and went to train as a hairdresser. I worked for three days in the salon and two days at college. I loved the course and enjoyed to learn new techniques. When I had qualified I was lucky enough to get a position at the salon I was working at. I worked there for over ten years and was assistant manager for three years. Unfortunately I realised that I was never going to make any serious money cutting hair and decided it was time for a change in career. I started looking for a new career path and was lucky enough to get a position with a hair product company as a sales representative. I was given an existing client base to work with and after an initial week of training, I hit the ground running. Over the past few years I have worked really hard and have increased business with existing customers and brought on new clients as well. I have been enjoying the work and it does not seem to have going un-noticed as the area manager has approached me in reference to the position of regional manager. Very exciting. I think I shall still have to interview for the position, otherwise it would not be deemed fair. If I managed to get the job it would mean a massive pay increase and a company car. All the regional managers drive Skoda Fabia Cars. I have got inside information that the job is already mine. Fingers crossed but I am not going to visit any Skoda dealers just yet.
